Would
you like to become a member of the Fair Lawn Auxiliary Police? Many
people join so they can get a feel for police work and to see if it is
something they want to pursue as a full time career. Some join just to
be able to help out the community.
Due to state regulations, we can only accept applications from
residents of Fair Lawn, Elmwood Park and Saddle Brook, New Jersey.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Be a U.S. Citizen
2. Be a resident of one of the above Municipalities
3. Be 18 years of age or older
4. Be a High School graduate
If you have met all of the above requirements, please feel free to download an application. In order to be eligible for the next academy class, your applications must be mailed and turned in by September 7th, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Applications must be mailed to the address indicated in the application. Please DO NOT return the application in person to the Fair Lawn Police Department.
All applications will be placed on hold until we conduct our
interviews. Interviews are held only once a year. Applicants are hired
based on their experience, qualifications, interview skills and the
needs of the organization. For budget reasons, we are limited to the
amount of officers that can be hired each year.
